Dartford Bridge 10k
The Dartford Bridge 10k is a community road race held around the lakes in Dartford. Organisers added a 5k run by request and continue to offer a children's fun run. The 17th edition has been moved next year to avoid the London 10k; the exact new date is to be confirmed. Day-of entries are accepted.
The main run course comprises two laps around both lakes. The course is checked each year and is certified as a 10k. Organisers no longer route runners across the road by the roundabout for safety. The children's fun run uses a new course of one lap around the south lake on the gravel pavement; children receive a bespoke finishing medal. Fun run entry fee is £4.
Parking is provided free at Crosswater Lake View House, Rennie Drive, Dartford DA1 5FU; registration is about 400 m from the car park. Toilets and showers are located about 150 m away next to the security office. There is bike racking beside registration and a bag drop area to the left of registration. Water is available at the start of the second lap and at the finish.
Participants are asked to keep off the fast track bus lane, to listen to marshals, and not to wear headphones. Trophies are awarded to 1st-3rd overall male and female, and to first 40+, 50+, 60+ female and male, plus first 70+ male. Course records stand at male 32.34 and female 39.41.
