Run Through the City Center

Dart for Art is a running and walking event located in downtown Ann Arbor. The course follows a point-to-point route starting at the intersection of North University and Ingalls Mall. Participants travel through the Diag and continue down State Street, finishing on Liberty Street at Thompson Street. The finish line is situated near the Paint the Town Block pARTy.

The event features several categories based on distance and participant age:

  • 500m Kids Dash (Available for children ages 12 and under)
  • 1 Mile Community/Open Race (Open to all ages and strollers)
  • 1 Mile Featured Race (A fast-paced event for competitive runners)

Participants are organized into waves based on their estimated finish times. The Community/Open race accommodates both walkers and runners with different start groups to manage the flow of the course. The Featured race serves as the headline event where participants compete for record times and bonuses.

This event supports the Ann Arbor Street Fair, the Original, which is a non-profit organization. Proceeds from the race contribute to funding free arts education programming for the community. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
