Main Street Mile - Brighton
The Main Street Mile is a one mile road race presented by New Balance that starts and finishes in downtown Brighton, Michigan on June 27, 2026. The event includes four separate heats: Competitive Mile, Open/Recreation Mile, Dog Mile, and Kids Mile. The Competitive Mile is for participants who can complete one mile in eight minutes or less; the Open/Recreation Mile is intended for participants who expect to take more than eight minutes. Dog Mile entrants must keep dogs on a six foot leash and under immediate control. In the Kids Mile parents may run alongside children if assistance is needed and medals are provided to child participants.
Registration opens February 10, 2026 and closes April 8, 2026. The registration fee for each heat is $15.00. All net proceeds will be directed to a yet to be named downtown or community project. The race will be professionally chip timed. Participants receive a Main St. Mile medal on finishing; Dog Mile registrants receive a custom Main St. Mile bandana. T shirts are an optional add on for $10 and will be available at packet pickup if ordered. Packet pickup is at Running Lab, 409 W Main St, Brighton MI 48116, with pickup times the day before and the morning of the event. Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers for each gender in the Competitive Mile; there will be no age group awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
