Whitmore Lake Red, White & Blue Color Blast Run
The Whitmore Lake Red, White & Blue Color Blast Run is an in-person event taking place in Whitmore Lake, Michigan. The event starts and finishes at the Whitmore Lake Elementary School. This community race serves as a fundraiser for the Whitmore Lake Kiwanis, supporting scholarships for local high school graduates and community recreation programs.
Participants can choose from two main distances:
- 10K Run
- 5K Color Blast Run/Walk
The 5K event features designated color zones where participants are dusted with red and blue powder at the start, along the route, and at the finish line. Individuals who prefer not to receive the powder can notify volunteers to bypass the color blasting. The event is designed for families, and strollers are permitted on the course.
All participants receive finisher medals, and trophies are awarded to the top overall male and female finishers in both the 5K and 10K races. Participants are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue clothing. Commemorative shirts are provided on a first-come, first-served basis for those who register after the early June deadline. The race is held rain or shine, and professional timing and scoring services are provided for both distances. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
