Darley Moor August Sprint Duathlon 2026
The Darley Moor August Sprint Duathlon is a draft-legal race held at the Darley Moor race circuit. This event serves as a European Sprint Distance Duathlon Qualifier for the British Triathlon GB Age-Group Team. The competition takes place on a flat, traffic-free course consisting of multiple laps on both road and track surfaces.
The sprint duathlon features the following distances:
- 4.8 km run, 18.3 km bike, and 2.4 km run
The run segments are conducted on the perimeter track surrounding the race circuit, while the cycling portion takes place directly on the circuit itself. Participants must be at least 15 years old by December 31st of the race year to compete. The event has an entry limit of 390 athletes.
Venue facilities at the Darley Moor Race track in Derbyshire include on-site parking and toilets. Refreshments are available for participants and spectators. Free overnight camping is also provided at the site on the Saturday preceding the event.
The race uses electronic chip timing. To be eligible for the British Triathlon GB Age-Group Team qualification, athletes must register their intent to qualify by the Friday before the race in addition to entering the event.
