Darley Moor August Sprint Duathlon 2026
This event is a draft legal, traffic-free sprint duathlon held at Darley Moor Race Circuit, A515 Ashbourne Road, Wyaston, Ashbourne, Derbyshire DE6 2ET on 23 August 2026. The organiser is Crazy Legs Events. The event uses three separate start waves and each wave is limited to 130 entries. Ages are determined as of 31 December 2026. Competition categories are Female and Open, with the Open field split by age groups.
The race is chip timed and prizes are awarded for winners in each age group; prizes may be presented on the day or posted afterwards. Part of each entry fee will be donated to the Darley Moor motor racing circuit for its upkeep. Basic camping is available on site the night before the race. Toilets, refreshments and parking are provided at the venue. The event follows British Triathlon safeguarding and competition rules.
Participants who aim to qualify for the 2027 Age Group Sprint Distance European Championships must register intent with British Triathlon by Friday 21 August 2026.
Race format
- Run Leg 1 - 4.8 km - two laps of the path around the circuit
- Cycle Leg - 18.3 km - eight laps on the tarmac circuit (draft legal)
- Run Leg 2 - 2.4 km - one lap of the path around the circuit
Entry fees are £45.00 for British Triathlon members plus a booking fee. Non-members pay £45.00 plus an £8.00 British Triathlon Race Pass and a booking fee. Entries close on Thursday 20 August 2026 if the event has not sold out. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
