Multi-Discipline Racing at Darley Moor
The Darley Moor May Duathlon 2026 is a day of multi-discipline races held at the Darley Moor race track in Derbyshire. The event takes place entirely within a traffic-free environment, making it a controlled location for running and cycling. The competition is open to a range of age groups, from juniors starting at age 8 to senior categories.
The course utilizes the flat terrain of the race circuit and the surrounding perimeter track. Participants will complete the running portions on either the circuit or the perimeter track, while the cycling segment always takes place on the main race circuit. The event is chip-timed, and each individual race is limited to 100 participants.
Facilities at the venue include:
- Free overnight camping on Friday night
- Off-site parking
- Toilets
- Light refreshments
The event is open to various ability levels, and participants do not need a club or British Triathlon Federation membership to enter. Required equipment includes a roadworthy bicycle, a helmet, and trainers. This duathlon is frequently featured in regional junior race series for both the East and West Midlands. Registration and timing chip collection are organized on the day of the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
