Facilities, safety and race operations
A head torch is required. Recommended kit for the 5K, 10K and 10-mile races includes a head torch with spare batteries, a long-sleeved top, a collapsible cup, a mobile phone and a waterproof jacket. Off-road shoes with good grip are advised; road shoes are not appropriate. The event is cup free, so participants should bring their own drinking container.
Registration uses reusable One Time RFID timing tags; runners collect a race number and attach a shoe tag after assigning a tag ID in the app. The course will be marked with reflective arrows, bamboo canes, flashing lights and coloured shapes. There is one feed station on the course at Ranmore Common Road public car park. First aid cover is provided with a tent at the start/finish area and roving first aiders for the course. Parking is available for at least 200 cars and toilets are inside the front entrance to Denbies Hall. Results are posted live and prizes are awarded to the first three men and women in each race.
