Event overview
The Dark Horse 24/48 Hour Ultra Run takes place February 27 - March 1, 2026 at Stable View Equestrian Facility in Aiken, South Carolina. The event offers multi-day timed running options on a looped course and includes both solo and team relay entries. Registration closes February 1.
Race format, course and services
- 48-hour solo
- 24-hour solo
- 48-hour team relay (2–4 runners)
Runners complete a maintained 4-mile loop. Team relays allow only one team member on the course at a time. Professional chip timing is provided, including real-time tracking, live lap counting and split displays. Finisher buckles are awarded at 100K, 100 miles and 150 miles. Top teams receive awards.
Personal 10x10 canopies are allowed and vehicles have site access. On-site lodging options include cottages and hunt boxes on the property, and RV sites (full and partial hookups) are available; covered sites are listed at $50 for the weekend. Additional nearby lodging options are noted for downtown Aiken and chain hotels. An on-site bistro and pub will provide food and drinks during the event.
