Danville Mountain 5K
The Danville Mountain 5K is part of the Tri Peak Series organized by River Valley Runners and scheduled for June 2026 in Danville, Arkansas. The event is offered as in-person running and walking races and as a virtual option. In-person entry fees are listed at $35 and the virtual option at $40. Registration opens in mid December 2025 and closes in June 2026.
The course is an out-and-back on Danville Mountain. The field assembles at Trinity United Methodist Church, 2201 Main Street, and the finish is in the parking lot of Primera Iglesia Hispana. The event uses chip timing; participants must cross timing mats to be recorded and should attach the chip securely to their shoe. There is a single water stop located at the turnaround near the top of the mountain.
Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in both runner and walker categories, plus age-group awards in ten-year increments from 0-9 through 80+. Each race entry includes a shirt and a custom medal; completing all three races in the Tri Peak Series earns a final series medal. Discounts apply for multi-race entries and for River Valley Runners members. Same-day packet pick up and limited parking at a nearby cross country practice field are provided; staff will direct parking. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
