DanceBlue 5K 2026
DanceBlue 5K is an annual run/walk tied to the student-run DanceBlue philanthropy at the University of Kentucky in Lexington. The event on October 18, 2026 supports the DanceBlue Hematology/Oncology Clinic at Kentucky Children’s Hospital and directs funds to clinic improvements, research, and emotional and financial support for patients and families.
The 5K is part of a larger fundraising program that includes a 24-hour dance marathon, mini marathons, and a silent auction. Registration is offered for in-person and virtual participation. Registration categories include UK students, community and UK staff or faculty, and a virtual option. UK student fees range from approximately $29.07 to $39.85; community and staff/faculty fees range from approximately $39.85 to $50.64. Late registration may not guarantee a race shirt and prices increase the week before registration closes on Sunday, October 11, 2026.
Packet pickup is required before the event and race-day pickup is not available. Student packets are distributed at the DanceBlue office in Gatton Student Center, Room 262A on October 13-16 with multiple pickup times; community packets are available at John’s Run/Walk Shop on October 17 with times to be determined.
