DanceBlue 5K 2026
DanceBlue 5K 2026 is a 5K run/walk held on October 18, 2026 at the University of Kentucky, Alumni Commons off Rose Street in Lexington, KY 40506, United States. The event supports the DanceBlue Hematology/Oncology Clinic at Golisano’s Children’s at the University of Kentucky and directs funds to clinic improvements, research, and emotional and financial support for patients and families.
DanceBlue is a student-run philanthropy that raises funds year-round through activities such as mini marathons, a silent auction, and its annual 5K. Those efforts culminate in a 24-hour no sitting, no sleeping dance marathon that serves as the organization’s grand finale. Every dollar raised for DanceBlue is designated to support Kentucky families at the clinic.
The event offers an in-person 5K and a virtual 5K option. Registration categories include UK student and community/staff or faculty rates with tiered pricing: early, standard, and late registration windows. The first 500 registered participants are guaranteed their preferred t-shirt size. Registration fees are nonrefundable and prices increase during the final week before registration closes on October 11.
Packet pick-up is required before race day; there is no race-day pickup. Student packets are distributed at the DanceBlue Office in the Gatton Student Center, Room 262A, on October 13–16 during listed pick-up times, and all student packets must be picked up by October 16 at 2:00 PM. Community packets are available at John’s Run/Walk Shop on October 17 with times to be determined.
