Dana Chang Foundation 5K
The Dana Chang Foundation 5K is an annual community event focused on raising awareness about congenital heart conditions and the significance of early detection. Organized in partnership with Boston Children’s Hospital, the event is held at the Walnut Hill School for the Arts in Natick, Massachusetts.
The race honors the memory of a young artist and supports various programs dedicated to health education, early heart screening, and public awareness. This event brings together students, families, and runners to support the foundation's mission of preventing undiagnosed heart conditions.
Participants can choose from the following event distances:
- 5 km run
- 1 km walk
All registered participants receive an official tech shirt and additional goods. The event also features a fundraising program with incentives for participants who meet specific targets, such as branded hats or apparel. Registered volunteers assist with operations including participant check-in and course support. The Dana Chang Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, and proceeds support programs for education and screening. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
