Dan Lee Military Race - Delph Cricket Club
The Dan Lee Military Race is a fund-raising event held in memory of Dan Lee on 21 March 2026 at Delph Cricket Club, Huddersfield Road, OL3 5EG. The event supports the Royal Marines Charity and the Firefighters Charity and is organised as a non-profit.
Race entries are offered in two formats:
- 10 mile run over mixed terrain
- 10 mile weighted TAB with a 35 lb pack and ankle boots
The ten mile route includes 1447 ft of elevation gain and follows a mixture of quiet roads, farm tracks and moorland. Separate categories are provided for runners and weighted TAB entrants. TAB entrants should allow time for pack weigh in.
Minimum kit requirements will be decided on the day by the race organiser based on weather conditions; the maximum expected kit list includes a waterproof jacket, hat and gloves, a long-sleeved base layer, a bag or running vest to carry kit, and emergency food.
Entries open 22 November 2025 and close 19 March 2026. The published entry fee is £15. All profits from the event are donated to the named charities, with a small percentage retained to support future events. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
