Dalton's Dash 5k Walk/Run
Dalton's Dash 5k returns for its fifth annual edition in Virginia Beach. This event is a non-timed fun run and walk designed to raise awareness and funds for research into Ewing Sarcoma and other under-studied pediatric cancers. All proceeds from the event are directed toward medical research projects.
The event offers several participation options to accommodate different age groups and preferences:
- Dalton's Dash 5k: A 3.1 mile course intended for participants aged 8 and older.
- Survivor or Undergoing Treatment Rate: A 3.1 mile entry specifically for survivors or those currently in treatment.
- Kids' 100 yard Dash: A short distance of 100 yards for children aged 10 and under, who must be accompanied by a guardian.
- Dalton's Dash 5k Virtual: A 3.1 mile remote option for those unable to attend in person.
The physical race takes place at 800 Five Points Road. For safety and coordination, participants using strollers or those planning to walk are encouraged to start at the rear of the group. Wheelchair racers, hand-cyclists, and duo teams are permitted on a limited basis and will start at the front of the pack.
Registration includes a race shirt for those who sign up by the guaranteed deadline of April 26, 2026. Please note that bicycles, skateboards, in-line skates, scooters, and pets are not permitted on the course. Packet pickup is organized for the day prior to the event at Club Brittany.
