Dalgety Bay 10K
The Dalgety Bay 10K takes place on 26 April 2026 and is organised by Forth Bridges as a community event for the local area. Proceeds from this year’s race will go towards upgrading the Fife Coastal Path in the race area and supporting other charities and good causes.
The event is a single 10 km race limited to 700 entries. The entry fee is £20.00. There is a waiting list which closes on the Tuesday before the race. No entries are accepted on the day. Entries are non refundable and not transferable. Entrants must be aged 16 or over.
The race starts and finishes at Dalgety Bay Sailing Club, located off The Wynd, Dalgety Bay KY11 9SJ. Race numbers must be collected on the day and pinned to the front of the race shirt. Emergency contact details and any relevant medical information must be written on the back of the race number. Using a race number not allocated to a competitor will result in disqualification.
The route is multi terrain, including smooth trails, some tarmac and woodland. Route changes may be required because of planned Scottish Water works or other maintenance. Dogs and pushchairs are not allowed. A two hour time limit applies for the 10K and distance markers are placed at kilometre intervals.
There are two water stations on the course. Hot drinks and baking will be available at the finish for participants only. Toilet facilities are provided at the Sailing Club; there are no facilities on the route. Parking is not available at the Sailing Club; parking will be available at Donibristle Primary School. Bikes may be left at the Sailing Club at the owner’s risk.
Marshals will be in place at road crossings and key points and the route will be marked. For safety reasons competitors are asked not to wear headphones due to road crossings and other users on the coastal path. Two first aid teams will be available at the start and finish area and at Braefoot woods. A sweeper will carry a first aid kit and provide minimal first aid if required. Anyone withdrawing during the race should report to the nearest marshal. The organisers state that participation is at the entrant’s own risk.
The race will be chip timed and prizes will be awarded to the first three male and female finishers and category winners. Results will be posted to the event Facebook page as soon as possible after the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
