The Daisy Dash is the 49th annual running event held in the City of Sunset Valley. The event features timed road race distances and a youth dash, with the start and finish at Daisy Dash Field in southwest Austin.
The course is a flat, looped route through Sunset Valley. The 5K covers one loop and the 10K covers two loops. The Marathon Kids Dash is an out-and-back along Ernest Robles and uses the same start and finish line as the main race. A finisher’s party follows the race.
Proceeds benefit Marathon Kids and the 2026 beneficiary The Girls Movement, a Marathon Kids program that supports young girls through running. Marathon Kids is described as an evidence-based structured physical activity program for children in the United States. The program provides training, technology, and resources to coaches and volunteers, encourages kids to set goals equivalent to four or more marathons during a season or school year, and has supported over 2.5 million young runners, with over 200,000 participating annually.
Logistics noted by the organizer include packet pickup on Saturday, October 17, parking in the Tony Burger Center lot with preferred western or north-side access, and additional shopping center parking about one third to one half mile from the start/finish.
