Daisy Dash
The Daisy Dash is an annual road race held in Sunset Valley, Texas. The 49th edition takes place on October 18, 2026, with start and finish at Daisy Dash Field in southwest Austin. The event includes timed 5K and 10K distances and a Marathon Kids Dash for children.
Distances:
- 5K: one loop through the City of Sunset Valley
- 10K: two loops of the same course
- Marathon Kids Dash: out-and-back along Ernest Robles
The course is described as a flat, fast loop through Sunset Valley. The 5K and 10K share the same start and finish area; 5K runners complete one loop and 10K runners complete two loops. The Kids Dash uses the same start and finish line and runs out-and-back on a nearby street. A finisher’s party follows the race.
Packet pickup is handled before race day at a local Academy store; there is no race day packet pickup. Parking is available in the Tony Burger Center lot where allowed and in nearby shopping center lots approximately one third to one half mile from the start/finish area.
Proceeds support Marathon Kids. The 2026 beneficiary is The Girls Movement, a Marathon Kids program that promotes running, physical activity, and resources for young girls. Marathon Kids is described as an evidence based program that supports coaches and schools and has reached millions of young runners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
