Course and Features
The certified 5K and 10K courses start and finish at Bay Street Park. The route is described as scenic and flat with a gentle incline along Skyline, offering skyline views. Professional chip timing is used.
On-Site Activities
The event includes a Kid's Zone with activities like bouncy houses, arts and crafts, and face painting. There are vendor booths, live music, and food. A book character costume contest is held with separate children and adult categories. A bag drop is available for a $5 donation to the NIE program.
Registration and Details
Early registration prices (until March 31, 2026) are $15 for the Kids K, $35 for the 5K, and $40 for the 10K. Packet pickup is available on Friday, May 22, in Galveston and on race day at the park starting at 5:30 a.m. A 10% discount is offered for a bundle registration with a Galveston Press Run event on October 31, 2026.
Finishers in all events receive a medal. Age group awards are given for the 5K and 10K. Performance t-shirts are for 5K and 10K runners, while cotton t-shirts are for 1K participants, with sizes guaranteed for those registered by May 1.
