Daily News Press Run - Texas City
The Daily News Press Run in Texas City is scheduled for July 18, 2026 at Bay Street Park, 800 Bay St N. The event features both in-person and virtual race options and raises support for the Newspapers in Education program.

Course and timing details note USATF certified courses with a generally flat route and a gentle incline along Skyline. Professional chip timing is used and the start and finish are at Bay Street Park.
Participant information covers race shirts and bibs. Performance shirts are provided for 5K, 10K and half marathon participants; cotton shirts are provided for 1K runners. Shirt sizes and availability are guaranteed for registrations completed by June 1, 2026. Bibs must be worn on the front, visible and not folded; bibs are non-transferable.
Additional event features include a book character costume contest with separate children and adult categories and sponsor-provided prizes, a Kids Zone with supervised activities, a bag drop available at the registration booth for a $5 donation to the Newspapers in Education program, and finisher medals plus awards for overall and age division placings.
