Dahlonega Firecracker 5K and Fun Run
The event is a community running program in historic downtown Dahlonega with start and finish at Dahlonega's Visitors Center, 13 South Park Street, Dahlonega, GA 30533. It includes a Firecracker 5K (3.1 Miles) and a separate Fun Run. All proceeds will go toward Lumpkin County Sheriff's Office Youth Programs.
Registration fees listed are $35.00 for the 5K and $15.00 for the Fun Run. Registration opening and closing dates are provided by the organizer. Shirts are provided for participants who pre register before the stated cutoff date.
Packet pickup is available at the Lumpkin County Sheriff's Office at 385 East Main Street and on race day at the Visitors Center location. Parking options noted near the event include the UNG Parking Deck behind the Smith House, Hancock Park, and the downtown visitors parking lot.
Awards are planned for overall male and female finishers and for the top three male and female finishers in each age division. Divisions include overall male and female and age groups such as 12 and under, 13 to 19, 20 to 24, continuing by five year increments through 75 to 79, and 80 and up.
