CXB 5K
The CXB 5K is a chip timed road race held in the Chic's Beach neighborhood of northeastern Virginia Beach along the Chesapeake Bay. The event takes place at 2456 Pleasure House Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23455. The main event and a short youth sprint are offered on the same date.

Awards and timing rules are specified: overall 1st through 3rd places are based on gun time following USATF rules. All age group awards are scored using chip time. Award categories include Open, Masters 40 and over, and Youth 13 and under. In accordance with the event rules, the top three men and women overall are placed in the Open category, the next three men and women age 40 and over are placed in the Masters category, and the top male and female age 13 and under are placed in the Youth category. Double dipping of awards is not permitted.
Participant rules include a one bib per runner policy, no dogs allowed on the race course though dogs may attend the post race party, and runners with strollers should line up behind other runners. Children in strollers should not wear a bib and are not eligible for age division awards.
Registration details list a fee of $40.00 for the 5K and $25.00 for Lil Chic's Sprint, with specific registration open and close dates per event. The first 450 registered runners receive an event T shirt and a finisher's medal. Showing a bib grants a free beer at the post race event.
