Event Overview
The Curwood Festival Run is an annual running event organized by the Shiawassee Family YMCA. The 2026 edition will be its 49th iteration. It offers multiple race distances.
Race Distances
Participants can choose from several race options:

- 10K Run
- 5K Run
- 5K Walk
- Fun Run
Registration and Fees
Early registration is available until May 30, 2026, for $45, which includes a race shirt. Late registration runs from May 31 to June 5 and costs $50, with no guarantee of a shirt. Registration closes online at 11:59 PM on June 5. There is no race-day registration. The Fun Run costs $15 and includes a t-shirt when registered by May 30.
Course Information
The event starts and finishes just east of Huntington Bank on Jerome Avenue in Owosso, behind a large parking lot. The course is described as fast and flat. It follows a river trail into Corunna, goes through side streets, and returns along the trail. The 10K turnaround is at McCurdy Park, and the 5K turns around behind a car wash. Race maps are posted in February or March. Multiple water stops are available along the route. Dogs and strollers are not permitted.
Packet Pickup
Packet pickup is available early on Friday, June 5, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Shiawassee Family YMCA (515 West Main Street, Owosso). Race-day pickup begins at 7:00 AM at the race site. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
