49th Annual Curwood Festival Run
The Curwood Festival Run is an annual athletic event organized by the Shiawassee Family YMCA in Owosso, Michigan. The event features several distances to accommodate a variety of participants, utilizing a course described as fast and flat. The routes primarily follow the local river trail into Corunna, passing through side streets before returning to the start along the same trail.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- Half Marathon
- 10K Run
- 5K Run
- 5K Walk
- Fun Run
The 10K route includes a turnaround point at McCurdy Park, while the 5K participants turn around behind the local car wash. Multiple water stops are located along the route to support those taking part. For safety and course management, the organizers do not permit dogs or strollers on the course.
The event starts and ends on Jerome Ave, located east of Huntington Bank. Registration is required in advance, as no race day registration is available. Packet pickup is offered on the day prior to the event at the Shiawassee Family YMCA, as well as at the race site on the morning of the event.
