Cupid's Chase 5K in Queens
Cupid's Chase 5K in Flushing Meadows Park is a community running event that is part of a national series celebrating the founding of Community Options. The local event is the 19th annual race and contributes to fundraising for housing and employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Last year more than 17,000 participants joined the series nationwide.
The event features a certified 5K course with professional timing and immediate posting of results. Participants may include runners, walkers, families with strollers, wheelchair participants, and sponsors. The event site is fully accessible and pet friendly; pets must remain leashed at all times.
Registration for the 5K opens on June 9, 2026, with a listed registration fee of $40. To guarantee a Cupid's Chase shirt, registration is advised by January 1, 2027; after that date shirts will be available while supplies last. Giveaways include a Cupid's Chase finisher medal and a drawstring bag while supplies last.
Awards include trophies for the top three overall male and female finishers and age group medals for male and female finishers in the following groups: 12 and under; 13 to 15; 16 to 19; 20 to 24; 25 to 29; 30 to 34; 35 to 39; 40 to 44; 45 to 49; 50 to 54; 55 to 59; 60 to 64; 65 to 69; and 70 and over.
