Cupid's Chase 5K Las Cruces
Cupid's Chase is a local instance of a national race series held at Old Mesilla Plaza in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The event marks the 19th annual race in the series that celebrates the founding of Community Options and raises funds to support housing and employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. The series drew more than 17,000 participants nationwide in the prior year.
The local offering is a certified 5K (3.1 miles) with professional timing; results are posted immediately after the race. Local registration for the 5K has a fee of $40.00 and opens and closes on specified dates. To guarantee a Cupid's Chase shirt, registration should be completed by January 1, 2027; shirts and other giveaways are available while supplies last. Giveaways include a finisher medal and a drawstring bag while supplies last.
Awards include trophies for the top three overall male and female finishers and age group medals for male and female finishers in these groups: 12 and under, 13 to 15, 16 to 19, 20 to 24, 25 to 29, 30 to 34, 35 to 39, 40 to 44, 45 to 49, 50 to 54, 55 to 59, 60 to 64, 65 to 69, and 70 and over. The event is fully accessible and pet friendly; pets must remain leashed at all times. The event proceeds rain or shine and all registration fees are non-refundable.
