Event overview
The Cultus Lake Triathlon takes place at Cultus Lake Park near Chilliwack, British Columbia on Sunday, September 20, 2026. The event offers multiple race formats: Sprint and Standard triathlon, Standard aquabike, Standard duathlon and Sprint aquathlon. Registration includes a race garment and post-race nourishment, and athletes must have valid race-day insurance through Triathlon BC or a purchased 1-Day TriBC membership.
Courses and distances
- Sprint bike: 20 km out-and-back.
- Standard bike: 40 km loop.
- Standard aquabike: 1500 m swim and 40 km bike.
- Swim course: Sprint = one loop; Standard = two loops of the sprint course. Swimmers keep buoys on their right; the course is clockwise and starts in waist-deep water.
- Run course: Sprint = one loop; Standard = two loops of the sprint run course.
Logistics and support
The transition area is on the grass between the lake and Parking Lot B; it is fenced and secured on race day and requires an athlete wristband for entry and bike removal. The swim course is supported by certified lifeguards, boats, kayaks and paddle boards. Additional services include professional medical staff, stocked aid stations on the run, silicone swim caps, body marking and timing services. Package pick-up is available the day before the race and on race morning. Race entries are non-refundable; athlete-to-athlete transfers are allowed up to 14 days before the event with a fee.
