Heritage to Hatzic 5 & 10 K Road Race
The Heritage to Hatzic Road Race is a community running event held in Mission, British Columbia. The course starts and finishes at the track located at Heritage Middle School. The route leads runners down toward the park, out to Hatzic, and then returns to the school for the finish. The terrain is relatively flat and provides views of the Fraser River and the Fraser Valley.
Available distances include:
- 10 km (road race or virtual option)
- 5 km (road race or virtual option)
- 1 km (dedicated for children aged 12 and under)
The primary goal of the event is to raise funds for the Mission Hospice Society to support summer camp programs for children. A virtual participation window is open from March 20 to March 29, allowing runners to complete their chosen distance on the official route or a personal path of their choice and submit their results for prize eligibility.
Post-race activities include award presentations for the fastest runners and draw prizes open to all participants. Race shirts are available as an add-on for those who register by the designated deadline in early March. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
