Crystal Run the Lake 2026
Crystal Run the Lake celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2026 with a series of running and walking events centered around Crystal Lake in Michigan. The event features both in-person and virtual participation options, allowing participants to complete their distances on-site or at a location of their choosing, including on a treadmill. The in-person activities are based at the Crystal Community Center on Park Street.
The event offers several distance options to accommodate different preferences:
- 5 Mile Run: An in-person loop around the lake.
- 3 Mile Run or Walk: A shorter in-person distance for runners and walkers.
- Combined 5 Mile and 3 Mile: A registration option to complete both in-person distances.
- Virtual 5 Mile or 3 Mile: Remote options available from August 1 through August 8.
Participants who register by July 6 are guaranteed a limited-edition t-shirt in their size, while registrations following that date receive shirts only as supplies last. In-person participants have access to snacks and beverages. The races are professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation, and live results are provided during the event.
Awards are presented to the first through third-place finishers in various age categories, ranging from age 8 and under to 90 and over. While virtual participants can submit their times through August 8, they are not eligible for placement awards or door prizes.
