Crumbley Run
The Crumbley Run is a charity 5K held on September 19, 2026 at Wire Park, 1725 Electric Avenue, Watkinsville, GA. The event is organized by Fit Body and supports local families affected by cancer.
Proceeds from the 5K and an associated shoe drive are split evenly among four families located in Watkinsville, Athens, Monroe, and Jefferson. The charity began in 2023 to support a community member facing breast cancer and now assists a family at each location.
There are registration categories for ages 5-13 and ages 14 and older, with listed entry fees of $20 and $30 respectively. Packet pick-up is offered at a Fit Body location the day before the event and on race day near the amphitheatre.
The shoe drive runs through September 16 and is administered in partnership with Funds2Orgs. For every bag of 25 pairs of shoes the organizer receives approximately $10; 100% of funds from the shoe drive go to the supported families. Donation rules state shoes may be worn but must have no holes, have intact soles, be donated as a matching pair, and be secured together by laces, velcro, buckles, zip ties, or rubber bands.
Event amenities include giveaways, music, booths, a rock wall, public restrooms, and nearby brewery and shops. The event is a timed 5K with the course consistent with the previous year; a course map is available in the event gallery and at registration tables.
