CRRC Sneaux Cone Series
The CRRC Sneaux Cone Series is a summer set of one mile time trials held in Lafayette, Louisiana, with events at Moncus Park and a final race at the UL Track. Each race is a group start one mile effort on a largely flat, measured course.
The Moncus Park course begins at the overflow parking lot, follows one lap of the park counter clockwise, turns toward the pond, and finishes behind the large oak tree. Check in is required to receive a race bib and is located under the oak tree; participants are asked not to wait until the last minute to check in.
Registration is online only and closes on race day in the afternoon. Typical entry fees for Moncus Park races are $5 for CRRC members and $10 for non members. The August event at the UL Track uses a higher entry fee structure, listed at $15 for members and $20 for non members.
Organizers note there are no medals or awards; participants are offered Sneaux Cones after the finish. The series text also notes support for Moncus Park and that donations can help offset venue fees. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
