Cross Keys Road and Fell Relay
The Cross Keys Road and Fell Relay is scheduled for September 19, 2026, at the Cross Keys Inn in Uppermill, Saddleworth, OL3 6LW. Entries open on January 28, 2026 and close on September 18, 2026. The entry fee is £20.00 per team. Entry requires logging in or registering with SiEntries.
The race is contested by teams of four runners, combining road and fell legs. Each team completes two road legs and two fell legs, with the following distances:
- Road leg: 3 miles, 650 ft (two laps)
- Fell leg: 2.5 miles, 800 ft
Road legs are two laps of a hilly circuit. The fell leg is a single lap of an undulating course over Saddleworth Moor.
Category rules specify age and gender composition:
- Men Open: two male road and two male fell (18+)
- Women Open: two female road and two female fell (18+)
- Mixed: one female road, one female fell, one male road, one male fell (18+)
- Men Vets and Women Vets: same format with 40+ age requirement
- Juniors: two road and two fell, ages 16 or 17
- Any combination: any combination allowed from age 16 (no prize)
Kit requirements note that no kit is required for the road leg, while fell runners should be prepared to carry full body cover in bad weather; there is a kit check at the start.
