Cross Cut 20K Trail Race

The Cross Cut Trail Race takes place at the Bridger Bowl Ski Area in Bozeman, Montana. This event features a single distance for participants:

  • 20 km trail race

The course consists primarily of technical single-track trails, including some sections with tall grass. Participants must navigate the terrain according to the "Leave No Trace" principle, which includes staying on designated trails, following race flags, and avoiding the cutting of switchbacks or trails. The race has a four-hour time limit.

As a cupless event, there are three aid stations along the course where runners must provide their own hydration systems or reusable cups. Parking is available at the Jim Bridger Lodge. Participants receive chip timing, a custom race shirt, and a catered lunch with a drink provided by the ski area.

Awards are presented to the top male and female finishers. There is also a raffle for participants. Registration opens in April and does not allow for transfers or rollovers. Packet pickup is held the day before the event at the Bozeman Running Company or on the morning of the race at the lodge. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
