The Croom Fools Run takes place in Withlacoochee State Forest near Brooksville, Florida. The event includes the following distances:

This is the 30th annual running of the event. The race field is limited to 250 entrants in total, with a separate limit of 125 for the 16 Mile race. Registration closes on Thu, Apr 2 at 2:00 PM ET.
Course, aid, and event services
The main trail is a 16-mile loop on the Croom Hiking Trail through long leaf pine and scrub oak hills, creek bottoms, and cypress ponds. The races use repeat loops of this course: the 50 Mile uses three loops, the 50K uses two loops, and the 16 Mile uses one loop. There are three water stops or aid stations placed along the loop. That results in multiple aid station visits by multi-loop runners: eight aid station visits for the 50K and twelve for the 50 Mile. Aid stations provide water, sports drink, gels, and some food. Runners can access the main staging area and drop bags during loop laps. Packet pickup is available the evening before the race and on race morning. All pre-registered runners receive a full-color short-sleeved tech shirt; finisher awards are given to every participant.
