Crooked River 5K - July 26, 2026

The Crooked River 5K is a trail race organized by the Loon Echo Race Series held in Harrison, Maine at Scribner's Mill (244 Scribners Mills Rd). The course is a "lollipop" loop that starts and finishes at the historic Scribner's Mill bridge and follows local trails along the Crooked River.

The route heads from Scribners Mills Rd to the Crooked River Trailhead, continues on to Intervale Trail, drops down to the river, then follows the winter snowshoe trail into the Evergreen Trail before returning to the trailhead and back to Scribners Mills Rd. A map and elevation profile are provided among the event photos.

There is one aid station located at the end of the winter snowshoe trail, at the start of the Evergreen Trail section (approximately 1.75 miles). The aid station will provide water only; participants should plan to carry any required calories or electrolytes.

Entry fee is listed as $25. Participants who register for one race in the series receive $5 off another race in the same series. Participants who register for any three series races receive a series hoodie and are entered to win a $150 gift card for Canyon Wren Coaching.

All proceeds benefit the Loon Echo Land Trust, a non-profit that conserves land in the Lakes Region, including the Crooked River Forest. Sponsors include Marathon Sports and Canyon Wren Coaching. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
