Crooked River 5K
The Crooked River 5K is a trail race held on July 26, 2026 in Harrison, ME, organized by the Loon Echo Race Series. The event is based at Scribner's Mill, located at 244 Scribners Mills Rd, and uses nearby trails in the Crooked River Forest.
The course is a lollipop loop that starts and finishes at the Scribner's Mill bridge. Runners follow Scribners Mills Rd to the Crooked River Trailhead, continue onto Intervale Trail down to the Crooked River, then use the winter snowshoe trail to connect to the Evergreen Trail before returning to the trailhead and road to the finish. A map and an elevation profile are included in the race photos and a GPX file is provided.
There is one aid station located near the transition from the winter snowshoe trail to the Evergreen Trail, at about 1.75 miles. That station will offer water only, so participants should plan for their own calories and electrolytes if needed.
Registration details include a closing time of July 25 at 11:59 PM ET. Series entry benefits include a $5 discount on another race when signing up for one race, and a series reward for signing up for any three races that includes a hoodie and entry to win a $150 Canyon Wren Coaching gift card. Proceeds benefit the Loon Echo Land Trust.
Volunteers are requested to help direct participants and assist at the start/finish and aid station. No prior experience is required. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
