Crooked River 5K, July 26, 2026
The Crooked River 5K is a trail road event held at Scribner's Mill in Harrison, Maine. The course is a lollipop loop that starts and finishes at the historic Scribner's Mill bridge and guides participants through the Crooked River Forest and along the Crooked River. Runners follow Scribners Mills Road to the Crooked River Trailhead, continue on the trail to a fork, turn left onto Intervale Trail down to the river, connect to the winter snowshoe trail, then follow the Evergreen Trail back to the trailhead and return on Scribners Mills Road to the finish.
The distance is 5K. There is one aid station located near the junction of the winter snowshoe trail and the Evergreen Trail at approximately 1.75 miles; this station provides water only, so participants should plan to carry their own calories or electrolytes if needed.
Entry fee is $25. Walk-in registrations are accepted on race day and will be cash only. Registration closes the day before the event on Saturday, July 25. Signing up for multiple races in the series can yield a discount of $5 off another race in the series, and signing up for any three series races qualifies the entrant for a series hoodie and entry to a drawing for a $150 coaching gift card; coupons do not rollover to following years.
