Crescent City Connection Bridge Run
The Crescent City Connection Bridge Run is scheduled for September 19, 2026. The event is an evening run or walk that starts on New Orleans' West Bank, crosses the Mississippi River on the Crescent City Connection Bridge using the HOV lane, and finishes on the East Bank at Mississippi Heritage Park, where a post-race party is held.
The course provides views of the New Orleans skyline at sunset and includes both uphill and downhill sections; organizers note a gradual uphill segment and a steeper downhill off the HOV lane. The bridge remains open to regular traffic because the event uses the HOV transit lane.
Registration fees vary from $45 to $60 depending on registration date. Children five and under may participate for free but do not receive a shirt, bib, or medal. Registration includes a commemorative t-shirt, finisher medal, timed race bib and results, entry to the post-race party with live music, and free shuttle service. Only registered participants wearing race bibs are allowed to take part. Teams of ten or more receive a $5 discount and the largest team will receive an award.
Packet pick-up is offered early in the week before the event at locations including Lakeside Mall and Raising Cane’s, with race day pick-up available at the Oakwood Center registration tents. Free shuttle buses transport participants between the East Bank finish area and the West Bank start; parking is available near the Oakwood Center on the West Bank.
Post-race festivities at Mississippi Heritage Park include live entertainment, complimentary food and beer for attendees, water and sports drink options, and an awards ceremony covering open, masters, senior divisions and age group winners.
