Creede Mountain Run - September 5, 2026
The Creede Mountain Run is a trail running event in Creede, Colorado, based at 200 Loma Ave. The event offers multiple course distances that run through Creede's Historic Mining District and areas near the Continental Divide.

The 50K follows the main course of the 22 mile run with a deviation at Oso Creek Cutoff (TR 787) to reach the top of Miners Creek. From there the route follows Miners Creek (TR 803) down to the Sunnyside Cutoff (FR 517), rejoins the main course on FR 504, and passes the Historic Sunnyside Chapel before returning into town. 50K participants must reach the Oso Creek Cutoff within 5 hours or they will be directed to continue on the 22 mile course. The full 50K course has a 10 hour finish cutoff.
The 22 mile course starts in Creede (8,852 feet elevation), leaves the main course at Allen’s Crossing (10,500 feet), and tops out near the Continental Divide around the 11 mile mark at approximately 12,500 feet. Runners must reach Allen’s Crossing within 1.5 hours to remain on the 22 mile course; otherwise they will be directed to the 12 mile route.
The 12 mile route follows a Forest Service road through the Historic Mining District. The 2 mile fun run or walk goes through downtown Creede and into the canyon, turning back at the confluence of West and East Willow Creeks.
