Creede Mountain Run

The Creede Mountain Run is held in Creede, Colorado. The event offers four distances: a 50K, a 22 Miler, a 12 Miler, and a 2 Miler.

The 50K course largely follows the 22-mile route before diverging at the Oso Creek Cutoff. It proceeds to the top of Miners Creek and descends to rejoin the main course near the Sunnyside Cutoff. The route passes the Historic Sunnyside Chapel before finishing in town. There is a 5-hour cutoff to reach the Oso Creek Cutoff and a 10-hour total cutoff for the race.

The 22 Miler begins in Creede at an elevation of 8,852 feet. The course leaves the main route at Allen’s Crossing (10,500 feet) and ascends to a high point near the Continental Divide at 12,500 feet around the 11-mile mark before rejoining the main course. Runners must reach Allen’s Crossing within 1.5 hours to continue on this course.

The 12 Miler follows a forest service road through Creede's Historic Mining District. The 2 Miler is a run or walk through downtown Creede and north into the canyon, turning around at the confluence of West and East Willow Creeks. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
