Event Details

The Crazylegs Classic is a running and walking event in Madison, Wisconsin. It is held on the last Saturday of April each spring. The event takes place on State Street and starts at Library Mall on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus.

Participants can choose from several activities:

An 8K run
A 2-mile walk
Team options for both the 8K run and 2-mile walk

The first event in 1982 had 1,525 runners. A walking component was added in 1987. The event's record high participation was 20,415 people in 2010, and over its history, it has attracted more than 354,000 participants. It was originally created to raise funds for the University of Wisconsin's athletic department.
