The Crazy Legs 10k+ Trail Run takes place on June 7, 2026, at Devil's Backbone Open Space in Loveland, Colorado (1725 Hidden Valley Road). The event is a trail race run on a looped course labeled as 10k+. Sponsors listed include Loveland Aleworks and the Fort Collins Running Club. The organizer has stated that the race will be held in 2026, 2027, and 2028, and that 2028 will be the final edition.
Course and logistics
The start and finish are located in the Devil's Backbone parking lot. The course is marked with flour arrows and follows Hidden Valley, Hunter Loop, Laughing Horse Loop, and Wild Loop trails. Key segments include an initial 0.1 mile on trail before turning onto Hidden Valley and a 2.2 mile section to Hunter Loop. Runners will pass a water stop near the 3-mile mark twice. The aid station will provide water and Gatorade and will be staffed by volunteers from the Loveland High School Band. Timing is done using a physical stick given at the finish to indicate overall placing; that stick must be returned.
Trail closures due to muddy conditions will result in entries being transferred to the following year. Participants are required to purchase a Devil's Backbone Open Space pass for parking, as the lot fills quickly and vehicles may be ticketed.
