Event
The Crazy Legs 10k+ Trail Run takes place on June 7, 2026, at Devil's Backbone Open Space / Devils Backbone Trail in Loveland, Colorado. The event is organized by the Crazy Legs series and lists Loveland Aleworks and Fort Collins Running Club as sponsors. Registration is open with remaining spots noted on the organizer page. The 2028 edition is planned as the final year of the event in this series.
Course and logistics
The race uses a loop-style trail course that begins and ends at the Devil's Backbone trailhead parking lot. The course is marked by flour arrows and includes sections on Hidden Valley, Hunter Loop, Laughing Horse Loop, and Wild Loop, with multiple short segments described in the course map. There is a single aid station near the 3-mile mark that runners pass twice; it will offer water and Gatorade and is staffed by volunteers from the Loveland High School Band, who will receive a donation. Runners may select a hat with a random patch, and timing is done in an "old school" method where finishers receive a stick representing overall placing that must be turned in promptly. Parking can fill quickly; a pass for Devil's Backbone Open Space is required to avoid ticketing. If trails are closed for muddy conditions, entries are transferred to the following year.
