Crazy 8 Brazos VFD 5K

The Crazy 8 Brazos VFD 5K is an annual community event held in Brazos, Texas. Organized by the Brazos Volunteer Fire Department, the event raises funds to support the completion of the local fire station facility and the procurement of essential equipment and training for the volunteer staff. The physical race is planned to take place in the area surrounding the Brazos Fire Station at 201 E Rusk St. Entrants who register by April 10, 2026, are guaranteed a race t-shirt. The event is designed for participants of various ages and fitness levels.

Awards are presented to the overall top male and female finishers. Additionally, medals are awarded to the first, second, and third-place finishers in various age divisions. These divisions include participants aged 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over.
