Event Overview

The Cranmore Mountain Race is a two-lap mountain running event held at Cranmore Mountain Ski Area in North Conway, New Hampshire. It takes place on October 17th, 2026. The event has previously hosted five US Mountain Running Championships.

Course and Terrain

The race features two distance options:

  • 10 km: Two laps up and down the mountain. This distance is part of the USATF-New England Mountain Racing Circuit.
  • 5 km: One lap up and down the mountain. This distance is not part of the circuit.

Runners navigate a mix of terrain including grassy ski slopes, mountain bike singletrack, and gravel service roads. The course includes one aid station located at the start and finish area.

Rules and Registration

Hiking poles and headphones are prohibited during the race. Registration costs $50. Participants who register by September 10th receive a technical t-shirt. The event offers $7500 in prize money.
