Crank & Boom Sprint For Scoops 3K & Kid's Dash
The 10th annual Crank & Boom Sprint For Scoops takes place on July 17, 2026 at Wellington Park in Lexington, Kentucky. The event includes a chip-timed 3K run/walk on paved trail surfaces on a closed park course, an untimed kids' dash, and a virtual runner/walker option.
Distances:
- 3K run/walk on paved trails, chip timed
- 200 yards Little Scoops Kids' Dash for children 10 and under
- Virtual 3K runner/walker option available nationwide
Awards are presented for Top 3 male and female overall finishers and for age groups in five-year increments for the 3K. Walkers, strollers, and dogs on a fixed-length leash are allowed on the 3K course. The kids' dash is untimed; participating children receive a commemorative shirt and a medal. Virtual participants receive a commemorative race shirt and an ice cream coupon by mail for a $30 donation.
Race benefits Fayette Eating, Education, & Delivery (FEED). The event offers commemorative poly/cotton shirts in men's, women's, and youth sizes, free race photos, social teams with a prize for the largest team, and Crank & Boom craft ice cream for participants.
