Crank & Boom Sprint For Scoops 3K & Kid's Dash - Wellington Park, Lexington, KY
The event on July 17, 2026 is the 10th annual Crank & Boom Sprint For Scoops presented by Whitaker Bank. It includes a chip timed 3K run/walk on paved trail surfaces, a youth dash, a virtual 3K option, and volunteer opportunities.
The chip timed 3K uses paved trails and includes awards for Top 3 male and female overall finishers and age group awards in five year divisions with first through third place recognized. Walkers, strollers, and dogs on a fixed-length leash are welcome.
The Little Scoops Kids' Dash is a 200 yard untimed dash for children 10 and under. There are no awards for this race but participating children receive a commemorative shirt and a medal.
The Virtual Runner/Walker option is offered as a $30 donation; the race shirt and an ice cream coupon will be mailed to virtual entrants and the run or walk can be completed on the participant's own schedule from anywhere in the USA.
