Crank & Boom Sprint For Scoops 3K & Kid's Dash : July 17, 2026, Wellington Park, Lexington KY
This event is the 10th annual Sprint For Scoops race at Wellington Park in Lexington, Kentucky. The program includes multiple participation options and a volunteer role to support race-day operations. The in-person 3K is chip timed and takes place on paved trail surfaces. Awards will be presented to the top three male and female overall finishers and to age group finishers in five-year age bands, with first through third place recognized for each group. Walkers, strollers, and dogs on a fixed-length leash are permitted on the course.
A kids' dash of about 200 yards is offered as an untimed event for children age 10 and under; participants in the kids' dash receive a commemorative shirt and a medal but there are no awards for finishing places in that dash.
A virtual runner/walker option allows participants to run or walk the 3K from anywhere in the United States; virtual registration includes a mailed commemorative race shirt and an ice cream coupon.
Race proceeds will benefit Fayette Eating, Education, & Delivery (FEED). Packet pickup is scheduled the day before at Crank & Boom on Clays Mill Road and there will be evening packet pickup at Wellington Park. Other event features include race photos, music entertainment, social team activities, and Crank & Boom craft ice cream for participants.
