Event Details
The CraggRunner Sprint 5k takes place at the Steven Burke Sports Hub in Nelson. The race uses a flat course. It is one of four events in a series for 2026, with participants able to enter one, two, three, or all four races.
Schedule and Entry
The race takes place on Saturday, 13th June 2026. Start times begin in the afternoon, with six separate races planned every half hour. Runners are allocated to a specific race based on their predicted finish time, with slower times starting earlier and faster times later. Entry fees are £12 for UKA members and £14 for non-members. Entry on the day may be available for £15 if the race maximum is not reached. The minimum age for participants is 15.
Junior Events
Separate junior races are available for participants aged 14 and under, with different distances: under-10s run 1k, under-12s run 2k, and under-14s run 3k. These races start earlier in the day. Medals are awarded to the first three boys and girls in each junior race.
Facilities and Logistics
Chip timing is provided, and results will be linked to Run Britain and Power of 10. Portable toilets and water will be available at the venue. Participants are advised that there is no parking on the Sport Hub field and to park considerately on local roads. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
