CraggRunner Sprint 5k - Steven Burke Sports Hub, Nelson
The CraggRunner Sprint 5k is a 5-kilometre road race held on 13 June 2026 at the Steven Burke Sports Hub in Nelson. The course is described as flat. The event is part of a CraggRunner series with other dates scheduled later in 2026, including races in August and October.
Entry is managed through SiEntries. Entries open on 22 December 2025 and close on 10 June 2026. Entry fees are listed as £12 for UKA members and £14 for non-members; entry on the day is possible if places remain at a cost of £15. The minimum age for the senior race is 15 or older. Entries recorded so far are six participants.
Junior races are organised separately for younger athletes with the following distances:
- Seniors: 5k
- Under 10: 1k
- Under 12: 2k
- Under 14: 3k
Junior competitors aged 14 and under use the junior events; 15 year olds compete in the senior race. Medals are awarded to the first three boys and girls in each junior race; there are no overall series prizes for juniors.
Facilities at the venue include portable toilets and water available before and after races. Parking on the sports hub field will not be available and attendees are asked to park considerately on local roads.
