CraftHalf Half Marathon and 5K
The CraftHalf is a distance running event and community block party held in downtown Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The event takes place at the Foothills Brewpub on West 4th Street, where an entire city block is closed to traffic between Poplar Street and Spring Street. This gathering serves as a celebration of North Carolina craft beer, featuring up to 12 different breweries and live music.
Participants can choose from several distance options:
- 13.1 Miles (Half Marathon)
- 3.1 Miles (5K Run/Walk)
- 1 Mile (Timed Crazy One Mile)
- 1/4 Mile (Crazy Kids Dash)
- CraftDouble (Combined Timed 1 Mile and 5K)
The half marathon follows an out-and-back course through Winston-Salem that includes hilly terrain and a downhill finish line. The 5K also incorporates local hills. The timed one-mile event and the CraftDouble are open to all ages, and registration for the one-mile distance includes two craft beers for participants aged 21 and over. For children 12 and under, the untimed 1/4 mile dash features the Winston-Dash mascot, Bolt.
While there is no admission fee to attend the block party, registered runners receive a shirt and an endurance event experience. Food and beverages are available for purchase during the festivities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
