Event Information

The Cracoe Cracker Challenge offers a choice of two distances in the Yorkshire Dales: 25 miles or 12 miles. The event is open to both walkers and runners. It starts from Cracoe Village Hall in Skipton (BD23 6LQ).

For the 2026 edition, the South loop will be done first, giving participants who did the 12-mile North route in 2024 a chance to complete the South loop.

The start time for all entrants is 8:30 am. The event must be completed within 10 hours. There is a cut-off time at 13:30 at Checkpoint 3 (12.5 miles) for the 25-mile route; participants not through by this time will be asked to retire.

Checkpoints are provided at the start, serving tea, coffee, and toast, as well as at 7.5, 8.8, 12, and 20.5 miles. A meal is served at the finish. Dogs are not allowed.

Parking at the village hall is limited. Additional parking is available on the left-hand side of the Hetton road and in a large layby on the B6265. Overnight parking in the Village Hall Car Park is not permitted.

The event has a participant limit of 125. On-the-day entries may be available at higher fees if the maximum is not reached. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
