Cracoe Cracker Challenge 2026 : event overview
The Cracoe Cracker Challenge takes place on 21 February 2026 at Cracoe Village Hall, Cracoe, North Yorkshire, BD23 6LQ. The event is organised by LDWA - West Yorkshire and is open to walkers and runners. Minimum age is 16 or older.

The course explores the Yorkshire Dales. For 2026 the south loop will be done first. Checkpoints include the start, where tea, coffee and toast are provided; well stocked checkpoints at 7, 12 and 18 miles; and a meal at the finish. There is a cut-off at Checkpoint 2 (12 miles) for 25-mile entrants; anyone not through this checkpoint will be asked to retire. The walk is to be completed in 10 hours. Dogs are not allowed. Parking at the village hall is limited. Additional parking is available on the left-hand side of Hetton road and in the large layby on the B6265. Marshals will assist with parking. Strictly no overnight parking in the village hall car park.
Entries and fees
Entries opened 1 June 2025 and closed 14 February 2026. Entries were restricted to the first 125 and that maximum has been reached; new entries are being placed on a waiting list (36 waiting list entries recorded). Standard entry fees listed are: LDWA members £15 for 25 miles and £12 for 12 miles; non-members £20 for 25 miles and £15 for 12 miles. Day-entry fees were also listed separately.
