Event details

The Cracoe Cracker Challenge 2026 takes place on 21 February 2026 at Cracoe Village Hall, Cracoe, North Yorkshire, BD23 6LQ. The event is organised by LDWA - West Yorkshire. Minimum age is 16 or older. Entries were restricted to 125 places and the event is currently full; a waiting list is in operation.

Entry fees listed for pre-entry: LDWA members £15 for 25 miles and £12 for 12 miles; non-members £20 for 25 miles and £15 for 12 miles. Higher on-the-day fees are stated if places remain.

Course and logistics

The routes explore the Yorkshire Dales and are open to walkers and runners. For 2026 the South loop will be done first. Grid reference SD973597 and what3words pleaser.hitters.rejoiced are provided for the village hall location.

Checkpoints include the start (serving tea, coffee and toast), well stocked checkpoints at about 7, 12 and 18 miles, and a meal at the finish. There is a 10-hour completion expectation and a cut-off at 2.00pm at Checkpoint 2 (12 miles) for those on the 25-mile route; anyone not through that checkpoint will be asked to retire. Dogs are not allowed. Parking at the village hall is limited; additional parking is available on Hetton road and the B6265 layby, with marshals to assist.
