Crabapple Derby Dash 5K

The Crabapple Derby Dash 5K is an annual community race and festival held at Crabapple Market / Crabapple Green, 12650 Crabapple Road, Milton, GA 30004, United States. The event pairs a timed 5K race with a family oriented fun run and a community festival that includes live music and awards presentations. Derby themed attire such as fascinators, Derby hats and bowties is encouraged.

Registered participants receive a commemorative Derby themed finisher medal and a t-shirt. Placement and masters medals are awarded across age groups. All proceeds from the event support Byrdhouse Ministries of Milton, GA. Byrdhouse Ministries offers spiritual direction, traditional therapy and contemplative retreats, and provides services for people experiencing mental disorders, grief and burnout. Donations in past years were used to fund scholarships for patients in need of therapy.

Race day activities include final registration and packet pickup, on stage warmups, the 5K run, the Colt Canter 1K fun run and an awards ceremony. The event takes place on local roads and green space adjacent to the Crabapple Market and is presented as a community focused festival.
