- 1K Fun Run
The 5K course uses a paved loop around Gulley Park plus a grass loop by Apple Seeds; the 1K uses the paved loop near the gazebo and the grass loop by Apple Seeds. Terrain varies between pavement and grass. Parents are encouraged to run with children. Directional signs and volunteers will be posted at turns, roads will be soft closed to traffic, and a bike lead and sweep will be used. An aid station with water and first aid will be available on the 5K course.
All runners receive chip timing, a participant shirt, and a finisher medal. The event does not present overall or age-group awards. Both Fayetteville elementary and middle schools are eligible for the participation prize, with monetary awards for top schools and a separate participation award for smaller schools. Scholarships are available to reduce fees; contact the organizer for details. Packet pick-up is offered at the park gazebo with an alternate indoor location planned in case of inclement weather. Portable toilets and indoor park restrooms are available near the start/finish area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
