Classic Run Walk
The Classic Run Walk is an annual running event in Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin, presented as part of the Wisconsin State Cow Chip Throw & Festival. The event includes set race distances and defined courses through town streets and nearby country roads.

Registration is available by paper form or online. Paper registration fees are listed as $30 if received by 7/31/26 and $35 for registrations on or after 8/1/26. Online registration is available through early September and closes on 9/3/26 at noon CDT.
Packet and T‑shirt pickup is handled at Marion Park, located at the corner of Grand and Fourth Street near the outdoor pool in Prairie du Sac, with pickup times on the day prior and the morning of the event listed on the organizer materials.
Course descriptions: the 5K course begins at Marion Park, proceeds along Fourth Street to Prairie Street, crosses the Highway 60 bridge, continues on Golf Road to a turnaround near the golf course, and returns to the finish at Marion Park along the same route. The 10K follows the same initial segment, continues up to Highway 188 and along Golf Road before returning to Marion Park.
The event is organized by the Sauk Prairie community and volunteers. The Sauk Prairie Police Department is responsible for decisions about cancelling the race in threatening weather. The 2025 edition recorded 668 participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
