Covington Police Department Fuzz Run
The Covington Police Department Fuzz Run is an annual community event held in Covington, Georgia. In its 43rd year, the event attracts over 3,000 participants, including runners, walkers, and spectators. It is established as the largest participatory event in the local area.
The event features several different distances and activities:
- The Fuzz Run 5K (Peachtree Qualifier, certification GA19018WC)
- 1-mile Fun Run
- MaryBeth's Redbird Run (50-yard dash for children ages five and under)
- Friday Fuzz Walk
The main race activities take place on Saturday, following a walking event held on Friday morning. The 5K course is officially certified, serving as a qualifier for the Peachtree Road Race. Registration is open to individuals of all ages and levels of experience.
In addition to the running events, the program includes an EXPO that begins on the Friday before the race and continues through Saturday. This EXPO provides a space for local business owners to showcase various products and services to the community.
