26th Annual Covington Cheerios® Challenge
The 26th Annual Covington Cheerios® Challenge is a community running event and fundraiser held on April 17, 2027, at the Covington Family YMCA, 2140 Newton Drive NE, Covington, GA 30014. The event raises funds for the Covington Y Annual Campaign, which provides financial assistance to make Y programs accessible to local families and children. The Cheerios Challenge is the Covington Y's largest fundraiser for the WHY IT MATTERS Annual Campaign.
Race options include:
- 1 mile
- 5K
- 10K
- Trix Tot Trot for children
Registration for the 1 mile, 5K, and 10K includes a t shirt. Participation medals are awarded for the Trix Tot Trot. Age group and overall winner awards are presented for the 1 mile, 5K, and 10K. Awards for the 5K and 10K include overall, masters, grand masters, senior grand masters, and age group placements across multiple age brackets. The 1 mile Fun Run awards overall boy and girl winners and age group places for children.
A post race festival follows the event featuring live music, free food, local vendors, and activities for children. Event materials note possible appearances by the Trix Rabbit and the Cheerios Honey Bee. Registration options mentioned include individual and family of four entries.
