26th Annual Covington Cheerios® Challenge
The event takes place on April 17, 2027 at the Covington Family YMCA, 2140 Newton Drive Northeast, Covington, GA 30014. It is organized as a fundraiser for the Covington Y's Annual Campaign to help make Y programs accessible to families and children in the community.
Distances offered include:
- 1 mile
- 5K
- 10K
- Trix Tot Trot (children's event)
Registration for the 1 mile, 5K, and 10K includes a t-shirt. Participation medals are provided for the Trix Tot Trot. Awards for the 1 mile, 5K, and 10K include overall winners and age group awards; additional award categories listed by the event include masters, grand masters, and senior grand masters, with 1st to 3rd places in multiple age brackets.
A post-race festival follows the races with live music, free food, local vendors, and children's activities. The event notes possible appearances by the Trix Rabbit and the Cheerios Honey Bee. Packet pick-up is available at the Covington Family YMCA on Friday, April 16, 2027 and on the day of the event, April 17, 2027. The award ceremony is scheduled to take place in front of the Legion Field stage, and winners who must leave early may pick up awards at the Legion Field Pavilion.
