Event
Country to Capital is a 43-mile point-to-point ultra marathon from Wendover to Little Venice in London. The route passes through Buckinghamshire countryside, crosses the M25 by bridge, and follows the Grand Union Canal towpath into central London. The event is restricted to competitors over 18 years of age and has an overall cutoff time of 11 hours.

- 12.1 miles roads and paths (28%)
- 20.0 miles canal towpath (46%)
Total elevation is approximately +1375 ft and -1720 ft. The race starts at the Shoulder of Mutton Pub in Wendover and finishes at The Stowe Centre near the Little Venice canal basin, close to Paddington and Royal Oak stations. One competitor bag, no larger than UK carry-on size (56 x 45 x 25 cm), is transferred to the finish.
Support, tracking and rules
The event is waymarked but requires navigation. Competitors receive a GPS tracker for real-time tracking; the units upload position frequently and are intended to assist navigation. There are five checkpoints offering water, snacks and additional food items. Prizes are awarded to the first three male and female finishers. All finishers receive a medal and event merchandise.
A mandatory kit list is enforced and random kit checks take place. Trail shoes are advised, with the canal section suitable for road shoes if carried. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
