Country Possum Chase

Event Overview
The Country Possum Chase is scheduled for July 4, 2026. It takes place in White Lake, Wisconsin, with the start and finish at the White Lake-Joe Edelman Pavilion on Bissell Street.
Races
Three running events are offered:
- 1 Mile Run
- 10K Run
- 5K Run
Fees and Registration
Advance registration fees are $5 for the 1 Mile and $15 each for the 5K and 10K. An additional $5 fee applies for race day registration. Race day registration is available from 6:15 to 7:30 AM.
Event t-shirts are available but are not guaranteed for registrations after June 24, 2025.
Awards
The fastest runners in all three races receive "notorious fruit pies." An awards presentation is held at 10:30 AM in the Pavilion.
Age Divisions
Age divisions are separate for male and female participants. For the 1 Mile and 5K races, the divisions are: 7 & Under, 8-10, 11-13, 14-17, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. For the 10K, the divisions are: 17 & Under, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+.
Other Activities
The event is part of a larger community day in White Lake, which includes a parade, music, vendors, beach activities, and fireworks. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
