Corscombe Trail Races
Corscombe Trail Races is a small community trail-running event held on 12 June 2027 at Corscombe Court, Corscombe, Dorchester, Dorset, DT2 0NS. The event offers two adult trail races that take runners through the rolling West Dorset countryside and bring them back to the village event hub at Corscombe Court.
Runners follow marked routes across a mixture of fields, tracks, public footpaths and short sections of quiet rural road with naturally uneven surfaces and variable underfoot conditions. The races are organised with race timing, course marshalling, clear course marking and published results. Entries include a finisher medal, water and light refreshments at the finish, on-course aid where required, medical and first-aid provision, race-day toilet facilities and event parking. A TRA licence application has been submitted and the event will be held under UK Athletics Rules subject to approval.
Event parking is provided in a signposted field off Norwood Lane. From the parking field a marked pedestrian route leads to Race HQ, start and finish at Corscombe Court. Participants and visitors are asked to use the designated event parking area and to avoid parking on village roads, verges, gateways or private accesses.
The races are organised as a not-for-profit community event. Any distributable surplus after costs is intended to support local groups including FOSSA and Little Acorns Preschool and to benefit the wider Corscombe village and fête. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
