Corporate Fun Run Fairfield County
The Fairfield County 5k takes place at Sherwood Island State Park in Westport, Connecticut. The event center is located at the Main Pavilion, a silver building with large glass windows facing the water. The surrounding area features approximately 90 picnic tables and additional banquet tables set up on the adjacent grass to accommodate groups.
The event features a single distance:
- 5 km run/walk
The 5 km course consists of one loop around the state park, beginning and ending at the main pavilion. The route is characterized as fast and flat, providing participants with scenic views of Long Island Sound. Parking is readily available on-site with over 5000 free spaces, primarily located in the lot behind the pavilion or the secondary lot east of the traffic circle.
Participants have access to a post-race gathering at the pavilion featuring refreshments such as pizza, ziti, cookies, and various beverages. Organizations may also choose to bring their own catering for a corporate picnic. Musical entertainment is provided by a DJ throughout the evening, and a photographer captures images of teams and runners.
