About the race
The Corporate Challenge Auckland is a team-focused 5k event held on Wednesday 18 November 2026 at the upper fields of The Domain in Auckland, with a rain date of Thursday 19 November 2026. The event uses a two-lap 5 km course that passes the Auckland Museum, the Cenotaph, the Wintergarden and the Pavilion and finishes on Wintergarden Road after a loop that includes Domain Drive, The Crescent, Kiosk Drive, Grandstand Road and Football Road.
The venue is on the upper playing fields near the Wintergarden. Team tents may be rented or brought by teams; rental tent packages include a 3x3 gazebo with three walls, a trestle table and seating for four for $250 plus GST. Rental tents are limited to 15 pre-booked units. Team tents and supplies may be dropped off and picked up from Football Road; vehicles have no access onto the grass surface.
The event runs both team and individual competitions. Team awards are based on Team Time, calculated as the sum of the top three finishers on each team and excluding anyone designated as Friend or Family. Industry category awards are given across listed sectors such as ACCOUNTING, TECHNOLOGY and TRANSPORT & CONSTRUCTION, with the race director assigning categories where needed. Individual awards use Gun Time; online results are presented by Net Time. The CEO Challenge is open to nominated CEOs, CFOs, senior partners and senior board members.
